Tasian Magazine of Contemporary Persian Literature I
Issue 01
Tasian emerged from a shared desire to support writers whose voices were not being heard. For many artists in Iran and across the diaspora, censorship and displacement limit access to audiences. This magazine was our attempt to open a channel — a place where literature in Persian could move freely.
As Co-Editor and Designer, I was involved in everything: searching for new authors, shaping the editorial curation, and designing a visual language that matched the urgency of the storytelling. Tasian was a labor of love — independent, experimental, and deeply connected to community.
Although our budget only allowed us to publish two issues, the experience continues to inform my creative practice and my belief in art as a form of connection and resistance.
